How to Apply

• Applications for PG - 1 positions will only be accepted through ERAS for the Match.
• Applications for PG-2 positions are accepted through ERAS or email Dr. Lynn Knox - slknox@utmb.edu for application form.

Interview Process

Appointment

• All completed applications received through ERAS will be reviewed by our Resident Selection Committee. Interviews are by invitation from that committee by email and will be conducted at your convenience between November 1st and January 31st.

Typical Interview Day

• 8:30 a.m. - Arrive at UTMB - Department of Anesthesiology in John Sealy Annex
• 8:40-9:40 a.m.– Departmental Presentation by Chairman
• 10:00-11:15 a.m. – Two individual interviews with faculty members.
• 11:15-Noon - Free time to interact with residents in resident lounge and take a tour of the campus.
• Noon - 1:00 p.m. - Lunch with two residents.
• 1:30 - 2:30 p.m. - Tour of clinical and research facilities and operating rooms. (Optional)

NRMP Participation

• All PGY-1 positions are filled through participation in NRMP Match.
• Limited number of PGY-2 positions available outside of NRMP Match.
